Directions. From the village of Llanrhaeadr ym Mochant find Waterfall St next to the Greatorex stores and follow this road for four miles. Map here.

It's a great place for a half-day visit. A walk in the mountains makes for a fine full day out.

Parking: All Vehicles (Inc. Motorbikes) £5 Weekdays, £10 Weekends

Warning - Please note waterfall road is now a CLEARWAY. Any parking incurs a £70 fine. Use the waterfall car park...

Walks. A short walk from the car park through the gate near the tea room takes you to the base of the waterfall. Here there is an iron bridge crossing the river which takes you over to the woodland walks and public footpath.

The top of the falls is reached by a public footpath which takes about 20 minutes.

This is a mountaineering environment that can be difficult in wet weather - best done with good walking shoes.

Keep children and dogs under control and supervision at all times, especially at the top of waterfall.

NEXT: Food and Drink
Or: Mountain Walks

You are responsible for your own and your party's safety.

The falls have not been 'tamed' with concrete, safety railings and warning signs.

It is as natural in its beauty as God intended it to be!
